ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    More f22b dohc power!

Hey guys I know this has been discussed millions of times but in every thread, people get confused on what motor and everyone strays off subject lol I want to know what internals and bolt ons will work with my F22b dohc? I know some stuff from an h23, hence, they are equivalent motors.. I just want to beef my motor up a little and I'm having a hard time getting there, thanks in advance for any advice or input. Btw i don't have 2k lying around to do an h22 swap or I would have already. Thanks

Btw I forgot to add I have a 4-2-1 header, straight piped exhaust, apexi muffler, and an intake already..

The F22B and H23A1 are not "equivalent", aside from the fact that they are both DOHC Prelude engines.
However, H23A1 cams will work on the F22B.
The bottom end is very similar to the F22A, and I believe (double check before buying anything) that any F22A internals will also work.
The header, as I'm sure you know, is compatible with both the H23A1 and F22A... buying a high quality header, and not some $50 ebay header that most people get, will give you much better gains.

Please use the edit button if you have something to add to your post. Multiple posts all made one after another will often result in your thread getting deleted.

A tune up might help you recover some of that hp, if you havn't done that already. You already did the basic upgrades. Now you can pretty much work on the internals.

Quite true. Lost horsepower recovered through proper maintenance and restoration is something often overlooked.

Maybe toss on some light weight pulleys.

The accessory pulleys don't do much, and the crank pulley can do damage (though my own experiences have yielded none...) An expensive pulley like a Fluidampr might be a wise choice.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure about an accessary pulley because I didn't know they make one for the motor but I guess I was wrong lol and no I havent done a tune up yet because I have msd wires and didn't want to replace them just yet even though I have no other msd componants like distributor, external coil etc. is that a bad thing? thanks so far guys
