ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I wouldnt buy the fel-pro gasket set. It likes to fall out when you flip it right side up to put the valve cover on. The car i just bought was leaking with a fel pro gasket set. The cam gear side was cut by the valve cover when it was put on. And dont use rtv silicone or anything eather. Here is the part numbers for Honda

12030-PT0-000 Full valve cover gasket set. $26.82

If you wanted to do lowers here they are.
    91301-PT0-003 $10.84 for all four.

It costs just a little more to do it the right way.

Make a Diy on the header install...I'm guessing it's a bolt off-bolt on process? The seller states to have it professionally installed. Like asked, can a muffler shop do it? I do trust my shop 100% They do it all day... But what to remove to get to that, other than the heat shield and O2 sensor?

It is possible to weld cracks in cast iron exhaust manifolds. I have done it successfully before. However, it might not be cost effective unless you have a buddy with a welder. The secret is to actually pre-heat the cast iron like you are supposed to and to use the right rod (it has a very high nickel content if my memory serves).

It should weigh the same or close enough, its a honda piston and all 4 of them will be made from the same company. I'll just tell the machinist to weigh the cracked one with the new one and go from there.

I saw the pistons Napa ordered me today... the only difference was the oil passages were replaced by a single opening on the side... How strange, I would imagine OEM pistons are much better than this since they have like 8 different holes going all around the oil ring lands.

Looks like aftermarket pistons for Honda's are a nono.
