ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    4-2-1 headers Vs 4-1 what's better?

Just wanna know which headers are better.. 4-2-1 or 4-1 and which ones did the cb7 come stock with?

    *header
CB7's dont come with a header, stock "header" is called exhaust manifold

Okay well what's better? 4-2-1 or 4-1? My 92 came with 4-1 but I'm sure they didn't come stock like that

Stock f22a1's came with 4-1 cast headers, a4's were tubular steel 4-2-1, a6's were cast 4-2-1. Between the three the a4 is considered the better header. The cheap headers on ebay are pretty much clones of the a4 design, and would be considered stock replacement from a performance mindset.

Okay so I'm pretty much better off replacing the stock ones right now.. But a buddy of mine said the 4-1 is better than 4-2-1 performance wise.. Is this true?

It depends upon the headers design, and application. My bisimoto header is a 4-1 design, its considered the best header available for the f22ax, then again it was a custom made header based upon a spec sheet I submitted at purchase.

most well built headers are usually something that collects into one. i have a custom unequal length for a 4-1 collector.

Incorrect, headers was the correct word

he was referring to multiple different 4-2-1 headers.

Glad you enjoyed what you saw, though the setup I am running right now (bisi header not installed yet) is an a1 converted to a6, but its biggest drawback/restriction at this time is the a1 header (and possibly stock airbox though a k&n panel is installed), my hp flatlines before I reach 6k at 110whp on an auto in 100 degree heat (there is also a dyno video/chart, so you can use my mrt kinda as a template/example for the not so obvious/common things done to increase power besides intake/exhaust). If you haven't already, you should read through the stickies at the top of each section, as they contain some of the best/most valuable information you could almost ever want to know, like the 30hp for under $500 thread.

Well really I'm gonna do all show with a lil go.. But to be honest I'm not sure if my car is even stock.. Reason being my friend has the same exact car as mine except his has intake and I beat him every single time.. Whether it be from a dig or a highway pull he can't beat me.. I even blow past y8's and my friends mini me swap in his Ef hatch.. But I've never owned an accord so I have no idea how to tell if maybe I have a head swap or anything..

Keep in mind that if you switch from a 4-1 (A1) manifold to 4-2-1 (A4, A6), you need a different flex pipe and the bung for the O2 sensor moves from the bottom front of the manifold (A1) to the flex pipe (A4, A6) and you will either have to undo the wiring harness to route the existing plug behind the engine, or make up a jumper harness.
