Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    removing cruse controle

    I didnt wanna just start pulling shit out lol what all do i have to take out with the cruse controle. Do i just leave the wires and plugs or what?

    Cruise control.

    Just start pulling shit out. Cap off any removed vacuum lines.

      u are gonna have to be kinda a contortionist to get the cable out from under the accelerator itself.

      unplug the actuator, cap the vac lines, pull the cable free from the throttle body, and cable from the accelerator. not fun but it has to be done.

        I'm 6'0, 180lbs...with ungainly monkey arms and a bad back. I've been able to get under there easily enough. It's not exactly fun, but not difficult.

          While you're down there, might as well take out the box that holds the CC electronics. It's just over the driver's left foot.

          Vacuum the floor first - whatever dirt is on there will wind up in your hair during this operation.

            these instructions were on a different thread i had it saved on my desktop.

            1. go to your gas pedal. unhook the cable at the very top of the pedal.
            2. go to your engine bay. unbolt the circular thing. 2 or 3 bolts.
            3. unhook the plug.
            4. go to your firewall where the cable goes into, and twist that piece then pull cable out.
            5. put a rubber cap over the vacuum line on the intake manifold. should be on the back.
            6. done....

              sucks with long arms....no space to maneuver but its possible...this was the hardest part for me

                ok done but i didnt have to take anything off my intake mani unless you meant the one in my firewall behind my intake mani

                  there should have been a vacuum line going from the unit itself to the intake manifold. You need to cap it or you will have a vacuum leak

                    so the marked hose is going to my intake mani and also is going to the metal thing next to where my cc was and my cc was attached to that with a hose so is this the hose i need to take off my intake mani the plug that hole
