ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    My f22 is a desiel

Ok so my f22a1 is getting on my nerves I changed out the exaust header last week and now my motor has taken a turn for the worse.....after the header my radiator busted but it's my only wheels so I had to drive it I just made sure it was short trips but it over heated on me so I filled it up again and got stop leak with the aluminum flakes which stopped the leak until I get the new radiator....after the first over heat my car blows out so much oil that I can barley see behind me......head gasket? Valves? I'm lost and frustrated fml help lol

u should have never put that stop leak stuff in your radiator it makes it much worst u should have just changed it u could have also did some tests. You also could have changed out the thermostat and bleed the cooling system again

That stop leak stuff most definitely just fucked your heater core.

If you're blowing oil, there is damage of some sort. Overheating usually results in a warped head and blown head gasket.

What color is the "oil" you see coming out behind you? I'm guessing you're not blowing out oil but coolant thats been burned from a leaking head gasket. Is it a whitish color? If you've blown a head gasket the continuing to drive it will only do more damage to the engine. Check your oil via dipstick and see if its a milky grayish color or anything out of the norm. If the coolant has started to mix with your oil then continuing to run the engine is going to start degrading and killing your bearing.

Hahaha that's not all, I bought my recent CB from a kid that had a jerry rigged F22B1 swap done. Kid told me it overheated, that was an understatement. Got so hot it melted the spark plug wire, melted the upper timing belt cover, and scorched the oil. The oil smelled so bad, we could smell it in the house too. After ripping into it, the connecting pipe running from the water pump to the thermostat was caulked in at the water pump. Yea, no o-ring, just caulk.

Well you learned the hard way I guess, now pick up a used motor and new radiator.

i was starting the tear down and i pulled my plug wires out and noticed that they were jammed with oil lol so i took off the valve cover soaked up most of the oil and let the rest drain thru the plug holes and just let it burn out but it solved the oil burning problem as far as over heating i let it run for a bit to let out any air pockets but i haven't driven enough to test if it worked it still burns a little oil but not to bad im just nervouse to break down somewhere far lol cant afford the tow

You need to replace the lower spark plug tube seals, that's why oil is in the tubes.

Don't put straight water into the coolant system. Best thing to do if it overheats because of a busted radiator is to just pull the thermostat until you can get it fixed. The car will run cold and your gas mileage may suffer just a tad. Unless it's leaking, of course. Straight water will just boil/evaporate very quickly. My car would overheat because of the heater core being bad, so I pulled the thermostat and drove it (without it getting anywhere near overheating) until I got the heater core fixed.
