ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Have you done any work on the intake? Have you adjusted the FITV?

start with the basics check your vacuum lines for leaks to check this just take some carburetor cleaner and spray it over the lines and if your idle surges you have a leak, if not check your egr make sure its free of carbon build up, check your iac motor, aswel check your temperature sensor and be sure its working properly because if its malfunctioning and reading too cold it will fool the ecu into advancing the timing causing the engine to idle up in an effort to warm the engine...although your temp on your cluster may read just fine your sensor might be messed up

Me personally..no... but the mechanic that worked on it might have...
I had the surging idle fixed...
From what I Saw he took the intake manifold off and cleaned it up...also found some rubber shit was floating around in there...

he unplugged some sensors and then the idle dropped to 100

Have you checked to see if the TPS is adjusted correctly?

An out of adjustment tps or faulty will cause a miss, or surging at idle aswell as when you put a load on the car. If the lights on you need to address the TPS issue if your mechanic messed with it (Since you said he took it apart) theres a good chance it not within spec.

            Specs for TPS...
            4.5v at WOT
            .5v at Closed throttle
The rivets that hold it in place are actually notchless screws, put a notch in them and back them out but not to much as you will need to carefully tighten them back down once it's in adjustment.
