So I got my CB7 a few weeks ago, not new to hondas or tuning just the cb7. I've got oil seeping from the head in a few different spots, running down on the block, one spot is under the dizzy and the other is along the front of the head. I want to do some gaskets to try and stop the leaks. After some extensive lurking here i've found that the dizzy o ring is a major culprit of leaks on the f22a6. while i'm at it i was gonna do the valve cover and associated seals (plugs and whatnot). What are some other problem spots? Pressure sender? anywhere else?

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

New Guy Chasing Oil Leaks.

The plug tubes have two sets of seals (4 each). The upper ones are between the valve cover and the camshaft bearing caps - those are easy to get to. The lower ones are under the bearing caps - those are more work, and a higher chance of screwing something up. The gasket set will probably come with both sets of seals, but if there's no reason to change the lower seals, I'd just leave them alone.

Here is the OEM part number:
While your at it, I would recommend changing the cam seal. Chances are, if your dizzy seal is leaking, your cam seal is leaking/getting ready to. It is ALWAYS a good idea to do the tube seals if your going to be inside the head.Originally posted by Mishakol129Do not disrespect my intelligence. I am the smartest person I know : )

If you really wanna go for all the leaks. I purchased the fulll behind the timming cover kit from a local dealer for around $30... and I had them throw in the little metal bracket thing that prevents one of the seals from coming out for like $3(its a recall on later models but not the cb7, i forgot the name of it).
(That was for the part not labor. I bartered a detail job with a friend of mine to do it for me... I was being lazy. )
After that the valve cover and the oil pan gasket I have literaly no leaks at all on a 252xxx mile engine...
In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

If you have the skills to pull the engine, then IMHO pull the engine, get a complete gasket seal kit and do everything, including timing belt water pump. If one seals is starting to leak the others arent far behind. Fixing one problem can cause more in other areas as the pressure is just sent to a different area in the engine.
