ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    major axle issues (video)

I replace my tranny because the last one went bad as I was taking it out one of the axles broke. So went to advance auto and replaced it because it was undef warranty .I finnaly got the cb running yesterday but I notice when I turn ill hear a bi loud bang coming from where the tranny connects, I found out that they gave me a 92 axle which is a lil shorter so went back and got a 94 lx one since um using a p2a5 tranny , I replaced the input seals but I'm having this problem http://m.youtube.com/?client=mv-goog...?v=KsEh7MeDQuQ I'm still hearing the bang but not as loud . Can someone help me please ?

You shouldn't be using anything but 4th gen axles. If you're using a 5th gen axle, your transmission is not mounted correctly.

So? I have an 94 Prelude tranny in my car 90-93 Accord axles.

Use 90-93 Accord axles. Nothing else. If they don't fit, figure out what you did wrong in mounting that 94 tranny... or replace it with a 90-93 tranny. Problem solved.

94-97 accords are wider than 90-93 accords.... hence, their axles are longer. IIRC.

            From Wikipedia:

            CB
            Width
            1990-91: 67.9 in (1,725 mm)
            1992-93 Coupe & Sedan: 67.1 in (1,704 mm)
            1992-93 Wagon: 67.5 in (1,715 mm)
1,695 mm (67 in) (all bodystyles in Japan)

            CD
            Width
            70.1 in (1,781 mm)

Though the width of the car itself (which is what those measurements are) isn't necessarily the width between the left and right wheels... Still, I found the varying CB7 width interesting, so I wanted to share! I wonder where that width comes into play, since most body panels are interchangeable...

They had to make the engine bay wider as well to wedge that V6 in there too.

has this vehicle been in a wreck? I owned a 90 coupe a while back that had a tweaked frame. It kept busting the inner joint on the axles so i had to use the CD5 axles since they are longer

my car hasnt been wrecked. Deev i was using 90-93 axles and every time i turn it felt like my axles were coming out. my biggest concer about the video is the amount of play it has. Is it normal or it shouldnt have that much play. with the 90-93 axles when i turn fluid comes out . I put a honda oem axle seal so i doubt thats bad.Any other suggestions . i have no problem using my 90-93 axles but they seem to be a bit shot and its only on the passenger side because on my driver side im still using the 90-93 axles and its fine . note:im using a auto trans bracket with a manual tranny p2a5 that uses a mount long enough to bypass the welding since EsP cant help me.I dont want to go H . my engine sit level with this tranny. it only does when turning. While driving normaly its perfectly fine no matter the speed its only when i turn.

It's possible. That's not a part I often hear of failing, but it's certainly possible.
You should still be using CB axles.

They probably measured the width of a 9091 EX with a 5.5" wide rim and then measured a 9293 LX/DX with steelies with only 5" wide rims. The offsets of the two wheels are probably slightly different as well
