ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

What is the difference in the 1991 SE models and the DX, LX, EX?

The SE was 91 and 93 only, and always had the A6. (I know you said EX, but I wanted to clarify, since the conversation to this point has mainly been SE talk.)

And yes, the only CB with bigger brakes stock is the wagon. If any sedan or coupe has larger brakes in the front, they were an upgrade using wagon parts.

I'm not certain, but it MAY have come with a driver's side airbag (airbags were not standard in other models until 92... and 93 SE models had driver and passenger side airbags)
Not all 1991 SE's had black leather. Some of them had tan leather.

Every OEM part? What parts are you looking at specificly? I can understand seats, some trim, and maybe engine parts themselves....

Almost all the parts cross refrence to each other, very few parts from the SE to the EX(which aparently both have rear disc brakes) are going to be different.

In the CD5 gens the SE is like a middle ground between the LX and the EX. It doesn't have anything really unique to it aside from a purple paint. I believe they only made the cd5 SE's in 96 and 97.

The SE is the top of the line in the 4th gen.
It's basically equivalent to the 92-93 EX in most ways, only with added extras like I mentioned above (leather, factory spoiler, etc...)

Only 92-93 EX models had rear disc brakes and an F22A6. ALL SE models had rear discs and the F22A6.
In 1991, the SE trim was a significant upgrade over the EX. In 1993, not so much.

            Good to know.
4th gen SE's are special, 5th gen SE's are "special ed".

Same with 6th gen... I had an 02 SE. Alloy wheels, but nice ugly drums visible through them in the rear! The 6th gen SE was like a slightly upgraded EX.

                Fixed.

All EX models on accords come with Disc(5th gen and on at least that I personally know of) I fucking hate drum brakes. While they are good and provide years and years of stopping power with little maintainence, the damn springs always piss me off.

Actually, I meant slightly upgraded LX.

I have no idea how to work on drum brakes, honestly. My Fit has 250,000 miles on the original rears.

They are easy, just a PITA because of the springs. My crx has them.

All you gota do is take both drums off and only do 1 side at a time so you can refrence the way its SUPPOSED to look. Some of the ways they ahve those damn things rigged up with cables springs n shit gets confusing after you take a break from being pissed off at them.

Disc are much easier to change, and see if they need attention.

Agreed on an upgraded LX = SE. usually they have shit on them like sunroof/moonroof where a LX wont. or some power options/cd deck/changer etc.

I used to think a LX could have options installed on it, say Disc brakes, but I guess that was just one I saw out one day with a swapped trunk/modified rear.

                      Thats because they aren't SE's

                      They are special editions

There has never been an SE since 1993. special edition ≠ SE

You only have rear disc brakes if you have ABS.
