ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

SUSPENSION: Outer tie rod end movement. Is it normal?

    Hello Every one,
I have the 90 Accord LX Sedan. I am investigating still the rhythmic sound that I have been having. So I took the wheels off today and check for play. The tie rod ends on both side have no movement back, forth, up, down. The movement is only twisting. There's no play in the 9 and 3 o'clock. I have the videos for both sides with the same movement, please tell me if they are normal? How often is it that both tie rod ends go bad at the same time? I have no problem with steering nor weird noise when steering.
    Passenger's side
    Driver's side

Reference to my rhythmic sound thread, this way I don't have to explain it again.

    Thanks.

    Hey,
Maybe some one could twist their tie rods and let me know if yours do the same on both sides too?
    Thanks.

How about sway bar links if they are gone or rotted out they will thump a little, mostly on bumps though.

Also when is this problem occurring? Going fast or slow? Turning the wheel? Going over potholes or speed bumps?

Check what was said above and also your ball joints upper and lower. GL

lets get some details... what is the sound your hearing? where is it coming from? when does it happen? does it only happen sometimes or is it all the time under a certain condition?

                  we can't help without info!

The tie rod inner is attached to the steering rack with a ball joint. So being able to twist it is perfectly normal.

Did the 12 and 6 wiggle test and no play on either side. The sound is too low for my phone to pick up to do a video.
