lowering springs

Had to check out the KYB GR2 and Tokico HP shocks right now, but I'm running the Tein H. Tech springs cause sometimes I'll have 4-5 people in my car so didn't want the car to sit to low. I'm kind of confused on how the KYB GR2 and Tokico HP shocks are better than skunk2's since they seem to be cheaper than skunk2's. Almost seems like you're saying we'd be paying just for the name for skunk2 rather than the KYB GR2 and Tokico HP which are better designed for our cars?

Oh yeah, the H is even more mild. Practically OEM, with a very mild 1.2" drop. In fact, those are probably the BEST springs to use with the two shocks I mentioned, or even KYB AGX. There are very few springs on the market with soft rates and a drop under 1.5" (1.5" and/or a rate higher than 15% over stock will kill those shocks.)
With your current springs, the GR2 or HP would work perfectly. Koni STR.T would as well, though slightly more expensive (I'd say they're a superior shock to any that have been mentioned, though... save for MAYBE the AGX, but only with your particular springs.)

Skunk2 isn't a suspension company. Tokico and KYB are. They engineer and manufacture shocks. Skunk2 just slaps their name on shocks someone else made (hell, for all I know, they could BE GR2s or HPs! )

Oh ok well that makes sense, I mean if Tokico and KYB specializes in suspension parts than they should have better engineered suspension parts. I just went with skunk2 cause I was buying their intake manifold and throttle body and figured just get their shocks as well since I was upgrading my suspension. But that's good to know, always learning something new. Thanks for the info Deev .
