ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Will a F22b vtec fit directly in a 1991 honda accord ex coupe?

Hi, i have been doing a bit of searching through these forums and others and can't find exactly what i am looking for. I am wondering if a f22b vtec that came out of 1994 accord will drop directly into my 1991 honda accord ex coupe. I need to know if i need a new harness, or ecu, or anything? Also, that my transmission will work properly with this engine. Thanks for all of the help.

Youll need the ecu from 94-95 vtec I know that. Tranny is compatible

If you have a question about an F22B swap why would you use other search criteria besides " F22B swap "? Just doesnt make sense....oh well, you got 3 links to check out now.

another quick question, with the motor being $400, including the motor, how much (being a general rough estimate) would the entire swap be?

why are you wanting to swap this in? is your current f22a blown? if it isn't this swap is completely useless

So fix the head gasket, it's cheaper AND easier than a full on swap.

really? everyone keeps saying that if i fix the head gasket than i have to start fixing other things and that by the time that i fix the head gasket and the other things its gonna oct just as much as a swap. AHH I'm so confused right now.

Sideways, take a step back for a bit. Ever since you've been on this forum you have done nothing but make post after post of every little whim you've had about your Accord. I can very firmly say that you have put little to no effort searching the site for it's information and trying to learn from previous members' experience. Not just this question, but all of your others as well. Your questions have all been easily answered and many of them by referring you to previous thread links. In fact, that's all I did for you in this one. I didn't waste my time with explaining the common opinion of that engine and address the fact that you probably thought it was an upgrade. I didn't care to ask you why you were considering a swap in the first place. It just feels senseless to answer all of these posts of yours. You are historically lazy.

I would really like to see you learn by researching and absorbing as much as you can from the information that's already been provided. Ask questions when you've exhausted all other avenues.

The ONLY thing you HAVE to replace is the head gasket. You can reuse the head bolts, a couple times, but it's not recommended. You don't HAVE to do the timing belt and water pump, but it's recommended.

You really need to do some more research on shit first, the head gasket will cost you $20 off Ebay (Evergreen) and then you have to spend around $30 for some oil, assembly lube, and coolant. That's it. Your swap will approach close to $600-700, easily. You do the math.

                            Spoon feeding session complete.
