I just bought a 1990 ex with the f22a4.Its got 185,000 miles on it and i wanted to build a turbo motor out of it.Im guessing it has too many miles for a turbo as it is so i was wondering what parts i would need for it to be compatible with a turbo.Or if i should just buy a different motor with less miles maybe instead?

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

If I were you I would research turbo builds. The motor will need to be healthy. Depending on the amount of boost you want to run, you'll nee d to build the whole engine with better, forged internals. That's just my two cents.92 Honda Accord LX - Sold

thanks for the advice it really helps ill check that stuff out.Im only planning on running 11-12 psi max should that be too much for a daily driver if i bought a rebuild kit first? It seems that theres soo many different variables coming into play that are above my import motor knowledge haha.

You can build your own turbo setup for much less than 3-4 grand. Don't buy a kit. Don't pay someone else to do the thinking for you. The knowledge that will accompany the research you'll need to build your own kit is the knowledge that will keep you from blowing up your motor.
Stock internals are weak castings. They aren't made for turbo, and even low boost you will break a ringland. PSI doesn't really mean anything, unless you know what turbo you are using. 10psi from a small turbo will be much different from 10psi from a large turbo. The smaller turbo will make less power, and generate more heat... that will damage the engine. The larger turbo will make less heat and more power... and that power can also damage the engine.
Build it properly, or don't build it at all.
Now pick a thread, and delete the other. You don't need two threads asking the same questions.

As trinistylez wrote, you'll find all of your answers searching around on the forum. This question is one of the most common on the board. Research, research, research.
EDIT* And I don't mean just research because it's been covered many times, but also because it's a turbo build. It's not something you just decide to do one weekend.
