Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

The only thing you really need is the idle air control valve. Everything else can be deleted.

Ok, so the answer to my questions are yes, yes and yes.
The FITV is used to heat the throttle body so that cold, moist air doesn't freeze in the TB.
If you are in a mild climate the FITV can be deleted and the only performance issue may be an extra minute or two for the TB to come up to optimal operating temperature. This will give you a slight (+.000003 HP ) performance increase since the air entering the TB will be cooler and denser without the added FITV heat.
FITV can be blocked off with a plate (about $15 or make yourself from a piece of aluminum) after which the coolant hose simply skips the FITV and is routed directly from where ever the hose originated to where ever it terminated after the FITV.
That's what I learned last night before I watched reruns of 30 Rock.90 Accord Ex, F22A4. Slight fire damage.

So I’m installing H23 plenum and throttle body on a A6. I want to delete the FITV (mainly because in about 20x readings of all the instructions for this mod I never realized that the FITV on the H23 and A6 were different and I don’t have a H23 FITV).
So here’s the plan and modification to frootloops' coolant hose map (hope that’s ok frootloops – you did a great map).
To delete the FITV on a H23.
1) Remove the FITV under the throttle body. Replace with block off plate.
2) Remove the red hose (leads from the base of throttle body, ties into the green hose).
3) Plug the connection at the base of the throttle body (formerly red hose).
4) Remove the green hose.
5) Remove the blue hose (leads from the FITV to the lower small connection at the IM, under the EGR valve).
6) Add a hose from the lower small connection at the IM (former blue hose) to the top of the thermostat (formerly green hose).
Does this look correct?90 Accord Ex, F22A4. Slight fire damage.
