ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Very Bad Idle Problem,, not IACV or FITV?

Yesterday, my b-day. Car sat in sun all day while I was out looking for new cars... On way home shortly after started was having a surging idle problem,, again..

I've had the Iacv and Fitv cleaned and tightened and all i've already been through those problems i'm pretty sure it's not them.

I'm thinking nasty vacuum leak, I recently did the gutted spacer DIY used the old gasket should of used sealant on it. Actually it did start with a vacuum leak when i first installed it but it somehow fixed itself few miles later..it was wierd but it's a nice upgrade. I am probably gonna start with either removing spacer back to stock or seal them forget what its called ATM but do that to see if it fixes my problem.

When its surging its almost like a misfire or off timing like that when i accelerate or rev sometime will pop and its sucking fuel i can smell and needle drops quicker. still fast but not fuel efficient I don't think.

It's gonna be a day or so before I can get to my Honda mech. to see if he knows whats up he knows these accords too well and it's a shame hes not on here. If anyone can point me into another direction looking for feedback on what to do

Other wierd problem: its not a vacuum leak cause ten minutes after sitting i unplug a vacuum hose and still get pressure letting out, meaning its holding vacuum?

took a couple quick vids to show the problem:

Idle problem(fuck this happens two days before i get my shinka rx8, BTW that just means time to get this accord doin right cause ill have a DD and a project car)

wow iv never seen a idle that bad before.. but only other thing i can think of is EGR, sounds kinda rough to me to, might be a good idea to change plugs/wires/cap/rotor, if it hasnt been done kinda recently, or atleast check them

Try blocking the iacv and fitv, I block mine with a soda can, its better then cleaning them and solves all idle problems related to those valves. thats what I do.

can you try to bleed the coolant at the bleeder screw? if i change my coolant and don't bleed it, it will do that big surge.
