ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    earl is leaking out!!

Ugh. After a fun filled day of plug replacement and valve gasket replacement.
I'm still having an issue with the car running.
Earlier this week it starting sputtering and eventually wouldn't start,
It's getting fuel and I checked the plugs. The plugs were covered in oil.
I put the new plugs in, valve cover back on.
It started right up and ran like a champ, turned it off, started it again. And guess what, it's sputtering again. I looked under the car, and oil was steadily flowing down the back of the block and was dripping off the filter. It appears to be coming out of a sensor above the filter.
It doesn't explain my sputtering, hopefully you guys can help a rook.
I'm also having some coolant usage.

She has 267k on her btw.

are you positive you are seeing correct? the last time I replaced my valve cover gasket, I did not put it on properly and I had oil gushing down to the bottom of my car. turned it off, fixed it and it stopped. was a hell of a mess to clean up though.
Everyday is one day closer to completing my cb7 <3

Yes. I checked the valve cover twice before tightening it down. There is no oil coming from that area. When it's on and running, it's almost turning into a stream of oil. I just changed the oil last weekend, and now I've got all these issues. I didn't do anything different than normal. Is hard to keep my fat head up long enough to see in detail where it is leaking.

If its anything that high, its the OIL PRESSURE sensor

If its not that, then your oil cooler o-ring finally gave out:

You said you recently changed your oil? You didn't happen to leave the OLD oil filter gasket on there did you?

            okay. I'll check it out.

I'm still not sure about my sputtering problem, that's the one that is confusing me. It started on Wednesday night, was burning oil and running like crap. Come Thursday morning, first turn over was sputtering hard, then wouldn't start at all. On to the oil, it has never burned oil before, very slow leak, but never burned.
Now all of the sudden she cooking it, wtf?

Naw. I always wipe off that area, i would've seen the old gasket on there. In the morning I'm gonna drain the oil, pull the filter, and check that sensor for leaking.
