ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Studdering Issue?

1991 Honda Accord EXR (JDM H22A Full Swap Motor, tranny)

    Hello all,

Back with another weird one. I was having issues with my idle which I figured was directly related to the IACV or FITV not being hooked up, they are now and I still have an issue.

At low RPM the car bogs (it seems like) when I'm on the gas. It almost seems as if its a c hore to get the car going, Usually more so first then any other gear but it carries on throughout the gears sometimes without a CEL. I was thinking it could be my fuel filter but I have no clue where it is on this car. I was also thinking of cleaning my EGR ports? but I don't wanna begin drilling holes in my I.M lol. If anyone could help diagnose this I would be much appreciative! Thnx in advance!

My intake on the car almost sounds drowned when this occurs, the harder I throttle the more drowned it sounds.

fuel filter is located on the fire wall passenger side underneath your vacuum box not hard to change and when your in a lower idle the fuel is not flowing fast enough to clear the blockage if it happens again however fast you are going just try to floor it and if it sputters real bad then all of a sudden opens up then your filter and or fuel pump could be clogged

Did you set the base idle when you put the IACV on and cleaned? Also like gotz said check your wires because I had one of the metal rings that snap on the plug got loose or something and would cause bad stuttering especially on acceleration. I don't know the condition of your wires but if you pull them off and push them back on you should hear a pop. Just my thoughts though.

Thanks guys, I'm gonna try all these things and get back! My plugs were pretty bad when I seen them last deffinately going to do that first. Fuel filter makes so much more sense tho, because as F22 explained, when I'm at a low idle and I'm trying to get the car going it seems bogged but as I reach past 2,000 RPM It goes away throwing almost all that power back at me, lol.

I didn't set the idle, but I was using my basemap ECU, should I have still done this?

If its too low then yes. I don't know what base idle for an H22 is but I'm sure you could search it.on here. I would imagine setting the idle is same for both the h and the f series
