ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Hi I know theres a thread already, but I didn't want to hijack it so my question is how good are napa camber kits. All it looks like is an eccentric washer. Heres the link.

That's not compatible with our cars.
If you click the link at the bottom that says "buyer's guide", it goes to a page full of Ford trucks.

It just looks like a bunch of washers. Just go to hardware store and save yourself the trouble... and money.

im dropped at least 3-3.5 inches. camber kit is not required. my camber is -0.3 tow 0 caster 0. as long as your tow is 0 your tires will be ok. camber has minimal effect on tire wear.

get a firestone alignment dont get a cheap ass one

Camber has an effect on tire wear, period. That's all that matters.

It does, but you kind of have to be at the extreme to kill some tires.

I ride around every day at -2 degrees on both sides in the front. My current set of tires have about 35k mi on them. They will need to be replaced before summer. Camber wear on them is not very much at all.

My main point is the fact that people will ignore the camber wear and see the center of the tire thinking "oh, that's still good!"
Even if camber wear isn't going to destroy your tire in 5,000 miles, you should still be mindful of it, and inspect the tires from time to time. Plus, if the toe is off, the inner edges of the tires will get destroyed very quickly, while leaving the outside and center in relatively good shape. I learned this when my camber kit broke, and I replaced it with the stock parts... and never got an alignment again.

The aftermarket camber kits have been discussed over and over. But is there a decent alternative for just replacing the stock on? I'd prefer at least not cheap Autozone Duralast part...
