ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    O2 sensor plug

My car have the o2 sensor but the wires are cutted and I don't have any idea where's the plug. I guess, this detail explains the bad gas consumption. My heart is an f22b but the car is a 90 LX. Please help. Thanks.

Is your o2 sensor hooked up (as in, are the wires spliced together?)

If not, then yes, that would be your issue. I assume you didn't do this swap yourself, or else you'd know what was done. The plug should not have been cut off... that can result in a change in resistance, making even a good sensor read improperly. Too late now, unfortunately.

Depending on which F22B you have (SOHC or DOHC), and what exhaust manifold/header you have, the o2 sensor may not be in the same location that your stock one was supposed to be.

      This is the situation:

And this is the only plug empty, it's besides the shift and lock solenoids plugs, I mean, they're all taped together: I don't know if it's from the o2 sensor.

And yes, I bought the car with the swap. It's a f22b1 vtec (to be more specific). It's stock, at least the manifold. And that reading problem/resistance situation results in having to buy another ECU, or there's any hope?

That looks like an O2 plug. Your LX originally had the O2 sensor located on the front of the bottom of the exhaust manifold and its harness would reach to where that plug is. The O2 sensor now on your car is in the flex pipe just ahead of the catalytic converter similar to where it is located in an EX.

        Couple ways to go:

        1. Get a connector from a junkyard 02 sensor and additional wiring to splice to the sensor in your car.
        2. Or what I did with my 90. I installed flex pipe from my EX and an F22A4 manifold (entirely new flex pipe on EX, had flex section welded on the old Y pipe for the 90). I spliced together a jumper harness made from the wires and connector from another sensor and a section from another engine wiring harness to be able to connect from my engine harness down to the new sensor location. Runs fine so far. If you do this, you would need another 02 sensor with the connector on it.

I don't know if buying a new one would be a good idea, because the lenght of the wiring and the info that Deeve gave me on the 2nd post. I'd try first the fleetwood's #1 option.

Either way, you'll need more wire unless you can undo the current engine harness enough to allow you to pull the existing plug back far enough to connect to the sensor plug (if you get one with a plug). I tried undoing mine, buy went the jumper harness route becuase I had an old sensor around and had cut a section of engine harness during a trip to the junkyard.

              I was looking this thread...

              http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=179204

But I need just the female plug, more wiring, and jump it to the o2 then. Right?
