ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I'm not to hip on the differences myself but you can read up on the F series engines on Wikipedia.

The differences between the the two engines is minimal, minus the obvious displacement differences. The VTEC mechanism is only on the intake side IIRC whereas in performance motors it is on intake and exhaust. It is also meant for better mpgs rather than more power. If you're on a budget, they aren't a bad way to go as far as building them up. Personally I would take the F23A as it is the torquier of the motors and torque is everything. But you can do just as good with either.'94 JDM H22A: 178whp 146wtq

The F23 heads flow better than the F22b's IIRC the exhaust ports are the same, but on the intake side of things the F23 has larger ports.

I'm not saying the F23A is better, just if it were me that's what I would choose since it has more torque out the box. Keeping in mind it was designed to pull a heavier car in the CG chassis. But your preference is purely your own. And why not try to source an F22A6? I understand yours was abused but the motors are great if you take care of them.
If you've got 2500-3000 why not go H22? Easily attainable. Or if you just like to stick with the F motors go JDM F22B that has the DOHC head. Or are you trying to build a motor and drop it in all at once?'94 JDM H22A: 178whp 146wtq

You should deff check hmotorsonline.com if you are looking for performance. And with that kinda money to play with? As others have said above get you an H22, F22B (DOHC), H23A (NON-VTEC), F20B ect. or even another F22A. There is alot of information here on the site that may help you decide, not to mention the experiences that some of us have with their setup. You have lots of options deff research before you buy for sure. I hope this helps, I will post you some links later to help you with your choice. The CB7 Collector.Team Kindred Impulse Member #392 LX Coupe F22A12013 Toyota Corolla S92 EX Sedan F22A1Originally posted by deevergoteDo you really need to make a thread asking if having your car like this /---\ will cause uneven tire wear? Try walking like that for a few weeks and see if your shoes wear funny! (hint: they will.)

Your posts should be deleted. I just got done responding to another one of yours that you asked a question in and haven't cared to come back in and see the answer to.
The answers to the questions you're asking have been asked MANY times already. You're just either too lazy to search for concepts you come up with on a whim or you're post-whoring. Please use the search function. Contrary to popular opinion it's not just up there to look pretty. You're actually supposed to use it.
EDIT* The other thread I was considering referencing you to was actually started...by YOU! You've shown a complete disregard for the rules with your recent posts.Last edited by Jarrett; 02-16-2012, 04:14 PM.My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint.
