ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Power Locks Not Functioning

Hello all! just bought my cb a couple of days ago and before i get to serious work ive got a couple of questions. My power locks are not functioning properly? if i press the button to lock i can hear a very quiet click but no trigger. I have tried on both doors and i get nothing, but it seems like the click only comes from the drivers side door. Is there a relay that im missing? i checked the fuse and it was good. thanks for the help in advance. Also its seems i have sprung a gas leak somewhere. i thought it was just my gas tank but after driving the rest of the gas out and putting 20 in after it was dry it doesnt seem like its coming from the tank but from possible lines under a plastic piece beside the tank(drivers side between wheel and tank)? im gonna try to tackle this tomorrow but i was wondering if any of you have had the same problem so i know what im looking for. After i get the maintenace work out of the way ive got big styling and power plans for my new found love (I WANT BEWST!!!!)

Hello, and welcome to the site!

Heres the electrical diagram for the power door locks:

As for your gas leak, it is most likely (from your description), the filler neck / and or the seals between the filler neck and the gas tank.

    Heres the schematic:

yes ther are some rubber lines that connect to the fuel tank that cound have cracked. Did previous owner drop the tank for any reason. If so he could have damaged or not tightened a clamp. I would not have filled the the tank up till you new for sure cause now if you have to drop it u gotta drain it an if its a bad hose its gonna drain out to.

thanks matt! i pulled one off one from a junkyard and now it works perfectly!
on the other hand i had a chance to put my car on a lift and my gas tank is SHOT! its a mass. car so the rust is bad. so bad that the seams on the tank are pulling away from each other. also the fram has a dollar bill size rot hole so it looks like ive got my work cut out for me. i know how to weld but not that great looks like i get to practice.
