ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    20w50 oil grade

    Hi All

Will 20w50 harm my f22a1? Thanks in Advance

I have 170000 miles on it. When I use 5w30 the oil only lasts about a week before it turns dark.

Someone offered me some free oil, but it is 20w50 grade.

Why do you need oil that thick? 10W-40 is the most I would recommend for H22s with oil leaks. For your F22, unless you're making 400whp+ which I know you aren't stick, with stock weight. While I'm not perfectly sure, I have a hunch that would kill your oil pressure and somehow harm the engine.

That seems a bit heavy, but then again im no expert. I run 10w30 every oil change and it hasn't done me wrong yet. I don't think it would harm your motor but it probably won't do any good. It also might take a minute to reach your head on a cold day though. I say this because im pretty sure that is a really heavy/thick oil. Anyway just give it a minute and someone with much better advice will chime in.

EDIT: Joey GT-R beat me haha

Like i told you in your other thread a thicker weight oil is a damn BAND-AID it wil not fix your issue in the long run. The oil sending unit is less than $20 why not try a new one out?

Like talking to a brick wall with some of our members. Why ask questions if you're going to take the rigged way out?

Haha you need to have more patience when reading threads. I asked because since the oil was being offered to me, I figured id ask before even accepting to receive it. Smh

I wouldn't run thicker oil, even if it was given to me.
