ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    More vibrations with new mounts

I just installed ESP solid motor mounts on my 92 accord.

I love how the motor does not move any more, But I hate how the car vibrates like crazy when taking off from a stop.

Is there anything I can do to fix the crazy vibrations?

Oh and the vibrations are in the dash, door panels, front seats and rear view mirror

You should have known to expect an increase in vibration when using those ESP mounts.

Make sure your engine is running as smoothly as possible in the first place. I was having problems with rough idle and rough running under acceleration in my EX. New set of stock plugs (I had a set of platinum NGK's with about 20,000 miles on them in it) helped quite a bit.

theres no kind of give in the motor so your car is absorbing all the vibrations

That's what solid mounts do. Didn't you do any research at all before buying them? That's like saying "I installed this 4" coffee can muffler, and now my car is super loud! Is there anything I can do about it?"

There's really not much you can do. Make sure your engine is in good shape, so it's not vibrating unnecessarily due to poor condition... like, make sure your ignition components are in good shape, your valve and ignition timing is set, etc...

Raise the idle to 1100 rpm.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

consider running a combination of OEM and your fancy esp mounts.

The torque mount and the rear mount absorb most of the vibration that is being transferred to the vehicle.

That being said, running a mix matched strength of mount could lead to other issues.

Just a thought. I prefer to not use solid mounts. If its absoloutely needed, sure Ill do it. Otherwise, I could care less for the way the car drives after the solid mounts. I personally think it leads to other shit in the car rattling and vibrating in a way it wasn't intended too, and it takes its toll over time just like a loud stereo with super ridiculous loud subs.

                        Rattles all over car=not cool.
