ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

or if he gives me a clear cut answer on what needs to be replaced i might pick up a repair guide, buy the parts need and tackle it myself ( hopefully it is a extremely clear cut answer and relatively easy to fix

Well, what I do some time with leaks is that they are difficult to see on the ground. I take it to the shop, put the car on the lift, you look at the car with the mechanic. Ask him/her to show you where the leak is. It's easier to see where the leak is. Then go home and you fix it if you can. Well, my corolla was leaking differential from the axle seal. Took it in and saw that very clearly. If the service wasn't so reasonably priced, I would have done it myself but for $150 driver's axle seal, transmission service with pan drop, and differential oil change. Not the lowest but it's very reasonably priced.
Not sure how's the CB is, wonder if they have separately differential and transmission?

      Thanks.

Y,a it sounds like it would be the rear main seal if its coming from where the tranny and block meet. the guy at honda tried to tell me my rear main seal was leaking when it was in fact my front crank seal. Idiot

yes that is what i might have to do, but i recently became convinced that it is the axle seal, i watched this youtube of a guy changing his and his car was leaking from the same spot does not look hard to do either, its a f22b1 so its the same engine but mine is non vtec

Are you sure its motor oil? from that picture, it looks like it could be Power Steering fluid. The speed sensor has 2 lines running to it filled with PS fluid that could leak out of those two hoses dripping down the bell housing.

But it could also be an Axle seal leaking tranny fluid, causing it to leak onto the inner CV and splattering it around there.

So you need to find out what kind of fluid is leaking.

that is also i possibility, is there a certain way i can tell exactly ?, i mean i check the oil by feeling it with my fingers and feeling fresh motor oil to see if the texture is the same and by it looking like dirty oil i made my judgement, also the fact that it is hard to shift from first thru third made me think that the transmission fluid is low

yeah i'd definitely check the transmission fluid level first, you can do that by removing the fill plug on the transmission and seeing if any fluid comes out. It should just drip out letting you know its at that level.

But power steering fluid is usually a bit clearer than motor oil, thinner in weight and doesn't smell as gassy (fuel) in smell. Also transmission fluid would be stronger in scent but wouldn't smell like fuel, idk its hard to describe since they're similar viscosities.
