ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

How far down does it leak? All the way to the floor, or just gets your tranny dirty

Try cleaning your engine bay, where the old oil was at frist to see where the oil might be coming from.

                x2

Clean everything as best you can, dry it and then verify you don't see any leaks. Drive around normally and start checking everything at intervals. Start up top @ distributor.

Could be so many different things (residual oil, valve cover, rear main, bad repair...etc).

Also a pic would help us tell.

Is it leaking from between the block and transmission case? If so, the leak is very likely the rear main seal... and you will need to change that ASAP. If it fails completely, your engine will be destroyed by a sudden loss of oil pressure.

But yes, clean the engine first to determine where the leak is.

Around the crank main - IE: behind your flywheel. Might as well get an exedy 8lb while you're at it

It could be a lot of other things too. You can remove the rubber flywheel access plug and/or bend back the flywheel dust shield a little bit and stick a flashlight in there to try and see whats up. Clean off the outside completely before you do that though.

Look and see where the oil is the highest. Also look and see where the oil is "cleaning" things. If you see a spot that's wet with oil yet cleaner looking than the surrounding area then that's very close to your leak. Normally that's the highest point of the oil stain also, unless it's being blown around.

i took a picture of where the transmission seem to be leaking from, i cleaned the oil that was on the ground last week so i can find where the leak is, also i forgot to add that shifting gears is extremely hard 1st through 3rd and tends to grind
