ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

So it's turning over, and getting fuel? But no spark?

have you checked all your grounds? I think the one underneath the distributor is the one that people generally forget to hook back up.

maybe someone else can answer this but didn't the later versions of the A1 have an external igniter?

I don't think so, but the OP probably either converted internal to external dizzy, or could have left the ECU ground of the t-stat housing.

would that cause the turn signals to interfere with the safety switch?

Sounds like you got some wiring issues as well.

found the ground that i forgot to bolt cant believe i forgot it because i had to take the old one off the new motor when they cut every wire power steering and all went great still a little concerned about the fuel problem put 10 in the tank a little over 1/4 tank from the light being on drove 9 miles to see how it drove gas went way down quick too quick know a reason for that? also my tach is kinda jumpy if you get what im saying sometimes it will say its not idling at all or at like 100 rpm motor doesn't bog down or anything shifts great though theres a hissing noise also some where haven't really looked for that but i think its the a/c pulling air through the condenser i disconnected the a/c lines planning to get a shorter belt so i can get rid of the dead weight

                            Sounds like a bad ignitor.

If you used an F22A6 in a 90-91 that is wired for an internal coil, you can use the F22A1's distributor. The engine head and block castings are pretty much identical. Anything that bolts to one will bolt to the other. No need to rewire.
