ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Windshield Washer

Hi my windshield washer seems to have no pressure. Does anyone have any ideas? It doesn't even get above the wiper blades.

Another thing is the wiper blades never go all the way back to the rest position at the bottom of the windshield, is there anyway to fix that?

There are no leaks in the tubing and it is a new washer pump.

ive had that problrm before. I disconnected the small hose on the pump. I also disconnected the hoses off of the sprayers. And took an air gun to the hose near the pump. Reconnected everything and all was well. Hope this helps.

Either your pump is dying, or your lines/sprayers are clogged. The air gun idea is a good one. Another option (for the sprayers, anyway) is to clean them with a needle... or just replace all of it, as it's old, and could stand replacing anyway.

Also trace your hoses on the underside of the hood. After a motor swap ( had the hood off ), I ran without washers for a long time until I realized that the small hose was getting pinched in the hood hinges.

Another common problem is that the 20+ year old connectors get cracks/break off when servicing the washer system, so pay close attention to the connections and watch for cracks.

          Good luck!

These are good ideas I have the same problem with mine but all this still doesnt solve his arm problem. If I were you I would remove the nut that holds on the arms and with the wipers off turn them so they are in the down position. They are splined so your going to have to take them off and put them on a couple times, turning the wiper switch on/off, untill you get them realigned to where you want them. I hope this helps.

I fixed the washer by using an air gun. As with the wiper arms I can push them down the rest of the way, but next time I use them they do the same thing. I think the busshings are bad.

If you can push them all the way down then i guess my plan wouldnt work for you..i wonder if anyone knows if this could be caused by the motor going that controls/moves the arms

mine had a smililar problem, but one morning there was ice and i tried the wipers they did not move but i heard a click click sound, when the ice was gone and the wipers were free i noticed it was back to normal position. but i wouldnt suggest it seeing as how it could damage it, maybe its off track? someone else mention replacing the whole washer system... its not too costly if your not looking at the wiper motor and it is a good idea, the hose is maaaaaad cheap. the pump is like $30 and the sprayers you can get on ebay for like $1

                    For your actual wipers:
When they're at the lowest point currently, loosen the nut and put the wiper down to where it's supposed to be. Voilą.

Well the arms can be moved by hand I can push them up about 2 inches and down about 2 inches.

josh is right, let the arms sit where they naturally stop when you use your wipers. and loosen the nut, place the arm where you want it and tighten it down, did this on a civic and caravan, dont see why it would not work for ours.
