ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Custom intake??

was looking around at cars on here and came across marcusv8thunder's accord i noticed he had an intake by his front bumper lights. did some research and its called a pipecross air intake. my question is whats the difference between a pipecross and cold air intake. been doing research on pipecross but not getting to much. any info would be great!! THANKS

    Which one is better?

    Here's a simple test:
Have someone drive you down the interstate, be sure to be in the passenger seat.
First experiment is to crack the window and breathe.
Second experiment is to stick your head out the window and breathe.

Which experiment yielded you the easiest breathing?

The only benefit of that "pipecross intake" would be when you're on the dyno and no air in getting under the hood.

The front of an Accord is very aerodynamic. Air will flow around/over that small of a space. It will not add any power or air to the engine.

at high speeds there would be a pretty solid high pressure zone in that area. i bet you would have more power and efficiency at highway speeds. at lower speeds i think it would slightly retard the intake's ability to breathe. but at any speed it will be forcing rain right into the engine which would not be good for a DD. this system might be better for a chump car or LeMons car.

It would not force air in at high speeds, as Josh explained above.
As for rain, that duct wouldn't run straight to the intake. It would simply run straight to the filter. It would offer no more danger than a normal CAI setup.
