Whats the best mpg that your cb7 has gotten? And how can it be improved?

ive pulled 420 out of a tank once. 90% highway. I could have went farther but i didnt want to push it.

to get better mpg, make sure your tire pressure is set right. also, recent tune-ups help too. plugs,wires,cap,rotor,coil, and fuel filter.

The all-time best in my Accord has been 34mpg, but I know much more can be done. One famous example is TheNextEpisode, who managed 47.9mpg on a particularly thrifty all-highway drive. That said, this was a guy who repeatedly attained 40+ mpg. My lifetime average is 28mpg with plenty of city mixed in.

There many ways to decrease fuel consumption...but the thread I created regarding fuel economy got deleted in the two-month data loss. I'll rewrite it over the next few days and post it.

I'll list the basics for now - steady speed, no unnecessary hard acceleration, upshifting as low as 2200RPM through every gear, keeping the windows rolled up, and using the brakes as little as possible. Learning how to coast in urban areas and traffic-crawling situations helps a great deal with city mileage, as well.

90 Accord LX Auto.
320 miles to the tank. But I always fill up before the light goes on. I would say 20-24mpg top for my car and it is maintained well. Rarely get 26. I live in Orange County so traffic is always a problem.

For about a year I drove about 70 miles per day, mostly on the highway. Sometimes traffic was good and sometimes it wasn’t, but I would get 22mpg without fail. Now driving 8 miles a day, all in the city, I get about 16. Mind you, the fastest the car goes is 40mph. On a road trip to the beach, I got 24 but that’s the highest I’ve gotten. I could get better, but I’m not always easy on the accelerator.

The best I've got out of my 10AE is about 29 MPG and that was all highway, though I prolly could get a little bit better if my cruise control worked. its hard staying at 65mph when your foot is on the gas for 2+hours.

MPG is easy to get better. i guess the biggest thing is taking it easy on starts. i have a hard time doing that. haha.

In my cb7 coupe, I usually averaged about 20-22mpg for 80% rural city/highway driving with the a/c on (it gets hot and sticky here), pure highway with the a/c on it gets at least 25-26mpg. Without the a/c on, I get about 25mpg average, and pure highway I've gotten 32mpg at about 70mph.

36mpg is a normal occurance on a run, in the summer but i cant get more than 34mpg in the winter.

I keep revs between 2000-2800rpm

And dont go over 60mph

But when the light come on that the end of the tank, driving into the red light fuel doesnt count. Otherwise there is no definitive end to the tank.

Hold throttle up and down hill let the car change speed it self, and lift off if you start going over 65 70, unless theres a big hill coming in which you can save up the momentum for.

I go through phases of eco driving, then i get bored, and drive like a manic for the next tank or two then return to eco driving etc.

So its my boredem that cost me really
