What happens when anti-freeze gets old

id almost be afraid to see what the other 4 things on that list would be

I opened a ceiling hatch to turn the front water spicket on for the spring

When i opened it mouse shit fell out into my mouth

My friend tricked me into eating mac and cheese with hot sauce ( i fucking hate hot sauce )

And a pot was improperly cleaned and a soap resin was left inside. I cooked mac and cheese in said pot. Yeah it was nasty as shit ( that was recent too ) It took me a little bit to figure out what i did wrong.

Thats all i can remember

As for the brown look, wouldn't that be rust from it sitting in the block so long? I don't know for sure but isn't antifreeze corrosive?

I'm not telling you to drink it tard. touching a minuscule amount of anti-freeze to your tongue will do no harm to you, it will just taste sweet with a bad after taste or taste sour with a bad after taste. And obviously if there are chunks of shit floating in your anti-freeze you dont need to taste it to tell that it's bad.

And more quick info, Anti-freeze is safe to pour down the sink or toilet. Water treatment plants are able to purify it so don't pour it down the street and be an asshole to mother earth.

No problems here the car is filled with straight water right now

Open up the petcock ( thats the official name for the drain plug on a radiator ) and let it out on the street. After all its just some dirty water.

Well i just don't really see the aluminum block rusting lol.

The aluminum block wont rust, but the radiator / waterpump impeller / waterpump feedpipe, thermostat etc will.

Brown is rust, Unless it was filled with brown coolant . . .

Although aluminum doesn't rust, It does corrode - just keep that in mind.

Well i took the thermostat out and it seemed in really good shape. better than my existing one so i reused it. I didn't see any signs of rust on it.

And the brown isn't always rust. If the water evaporates it would leave behind a deposit of some sort I just have no clue what color it would be.
