I have a few rather newbie questions about my CB7.
With my steering, it can sometimes feel slightly stiffer during daily driving. And sometimes its really nice and responsive. This happens randomly. Fast or slow. Straight or cornering.
The only 100% thing i can pinpoint, is when i try to hardlock to either side, i have to turn the wheel the usual amount, release pressure abit then put pressure back to achieve full hardlock.
Does this suggest i need to replace steering boots...or more complicated things?.
Misc questions:
So I'm trying to teach myself how to do things. It's my project car (and daily driver too). My friend....Kinda had a baby in my passenger seat..since then my carpet on the doors/floor kinda stained. So i have pulled off the door on passenger side, and have questions about reupholstering it:
Is there any type of glue i should use and material type that best suits?. I am looking to do my doors only at this point. Also, if i decide to reupholster the entire door panel (where the vinyl is). Is it best to clean the vinyl and cover it, or pull it off the door and recover the door?.
If i find speakers of same size, can i just unscrew old ones and connect the two wires an screw them back in?
Last question.
My cluster has issues. The fuel guage and heat guage do not work. The hand brake light only seldom works. As a village idiot, can i replace the cluster, or is it best to get a car sparky?.
