ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

93' 10th Anniv. Edition good buy?

Ran across a 93'Accord 10th Anniversary Edition sedan, green (not sure of the exact name of the color), 115k original miles, test drove it and it runs and drives smooth, automatic trans shifts good as well, pretty much rust free, interior and exterior in really decent shape( needs a good cleaning). All around good car. Got the seller down from $3k to $2500 and it seems he's not going to budge any further, my question is, with the condition overall being id say a 7.5/10 and 115k original miles is that a pretty good deal?

Is the car worth $2500 to you? If so, yes, it's a good deal.

The 10AE is essentially an LX model with a few upgrades found on the EX/SE models.

Yeah id say so , ive definitly bought worse for $2500, but I've also run across several EX models for substantially cheaper ($1800-$1900) they have more miles but, just wondering if the anniversary. Editions are a lil harder to find with those miles then say a LX or EX

They're a bit more uncommon, especially since they were only made in 1993. They're not really in demand, though, so the uncommon aspect isn't really anything of value at the moment (maybe in a few years, but not now.)
They're also ALL automatic. That makes them less desirable among tuners.

I bought my 10th AE for $2500. It had 96k miles. I've been fairly happy. Unfortunately I'm currently trying to make i like like new, so it's costing me quite a bit. I've rebuilt almost the whole suspension, and done a bunch of other stuff.

Above all else, check for CELs and rust.

Is the seller related to you???....cause a 500 dollar drop is suspicious to me,....

I'd expect a 100-200 shit 250 the most of a dropped price on a decent Honda accord , looks good drives good, now describe the engine? Leaks?...

I would say yes or no. To me it's not quite cuz I already have mine (but bought it for $1150 with 273k miles.) But it's up to you, like deev said they aren't in high demand right now but might be soon. Pics would help but from the description it sounds like a very good condition 10AE. But I would say go for it and good luck!! But thoroughly check it for leaks, squeaks, etc.

I don't see the 93 10th AE ever being valuable

In fact i don't ever see are cars as valuable.

If anything the SE would be valuable but not very. Its a generic accord that they made over a million of.

No not related to me, the seller just made the golden mistake of telling me that he bought his wife a new car and really need to sale the 10AE to recoupe some of his $$$, so with that being said I knew i'd talk him down quite a bit, plus cash talks. Engine has no leaks, seller also has reciepts to show where the timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gaskets were replaced at 107,000 miles.

Most people ask for more than they expect to get... I'd ask for $3000 and take $2500.

Our cars aren't valuable now... but in time they will be, especially if they're kept in great condition. The most valuable ones will be the most uncommon ones... SE and 10AE are high on that list, since they were only produced in select years (SE in 91 and 93, 10AE in 93). Other than that, I foresee the Phoenix Red 91 DX as being sought after.
All the Frost White, Arcadia Green. Phantom Gray, Black (the official name escapes me... ) and Bordeaux Red LX/DX/EX models are going to be the least popular. Oddly enough, they are the ones that people seem to want the most right now.

I believe Arcada Black is the color you're looking for.

Even if these cars aren't particularly valuable they hold a special place in my heart. Such great engineering by the Japanese. Absolute tanks. Best generation Accord IMO. I've driven the later gens. 94-97 was ok but after 93 it lost it soul.

I believe these cars will one day be valuable. EVENTUALLY. but back on topic.

I would try one last attempt to lower the price to $2300. If he still doesn't budge then I would take it. But first may I ask what ur gonna use it for? Cuz if ur just lookin for q stock beater or daily driver I would say buy an ex or lx for $1000-$2000 instead cuz they are just as great IMO (without the little upgrades that aren't anything fantastic.)
