ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Head bolts/head gasket kit

Where can i find head bolts and a head gasket set that doesnt cost a lot, but isn't crap. the stealership wants a stupid price for them and i dont know of any other good sites that make good gaskets and bolts.

    hondaautomotiveparts.com

It's a dealership, but their prices are usually lower due to their heavy internet sales volume.

Honestly, you ARE going to have to pay for quality. The issue is that you have all the super-cheap shit at rock bottom prices to compare to on ebay and unreputable sites... It's hard to believe that a worthwhile part could cost 3-4x as much as a piece of garbage that LOOKS like it would do the same job.

      Here is what you want:
The honda headgasket kit is made by Ishino, which when translated to english means Stone. The gasket set information I'm about to post is the same quality as oem (they make them for honda), for alot cheaper price.

As for head bolts, the ones you use for our car are h23 head studs, arp makes them... heres the information (cost me about $130 for the set)

I know some head bolts are designed to stretch, are honda's that way? Or can you reuse them?

Factory bolts stretch, some people have re-used them up to 3 times without issues, but its HIGHLY recommended that you use new bolts or get some arp studs.

For the extra $20-$30 go for the Ishino OEM set (Stone) that Napa has listed there. Part Number: ATM DS700

OEM bolts from Hondapartsdeals.com are only $63 + Shipping.

Have piece of mind in spending the extra $50 on a head gasket job with OEM parts!

Well that would have been good information to pass on.

That new link that you posted is for an Ishino (OEM) part number. The free shipping is pretty sweet.
