Rear brake light on dash

Y does my brake light on the dash come on wen the brake lights still work wen i press brake...only happens once in a while

It means you're low on brake fluid

that is what that light means in every car

That or the sensor has gone bad.

Thanks! Also sometimes it shows all doors open on the dash.. But they're all closed! Sensor?

That i've heard to be the gauge cluster

The sensors are physically the ground in the system. When they fail they don't make ground and the doors never show as open

it is never the other way around.

Not the e-brake light..i know it does that but...its the light on the dash tht indicates the door is open..under that says brake lamp..usually means a brake light is out but mine r not

Did you check the 3rd brake light too?

Some times the brown boxes on the back of the taillights go bad and trigger a false warning.
