ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    H22 swap questions

First off I was not sure if this went in this section or the technical or swaps section so Mira please feel free to move in the right section. Second I did read the swap section but did not find all the answers so feel free to help.

First question H23 tensioner swap why?
So why do you swap the H22 tensioner for the H23? I found pics like theses but did not really say why.

    Second
I read in the swap section not to add pins to the cb harness for the vtec or knock sensor to cut one from a prelude but why? So does this mean I have to cut my stock harness and add the prelude plug?

    Third
The H22 it self I went to HMO and saw they had 3 different types of H22, 94-96, 97-01 and euro R. What would be the one I use? I would assume the 94-96 jdm H22 since its obd1 is this correct? But what's the difference in the other two?

Last question when buying an H22 from the like HMO do I need everything that comes with it? Or do I just need the engine, transmission and ecu? It said it came with alternator, power steering and all this other stuff but from reading the parts list I can re use most of the cbs parts.

    Thanks for the help.

1st -the h23 tensioner is manuel. it is known that a h22 automatic one can over tighten the timimg belt and break it, but only know of one person that this happened and the motor had a lot of miles

2nd-i used the ones off the h22 harness and pinned it directly into the ecu

3rd- the 92-96 is the one your use its a direct swap its obd1
    the 97-01 is obd2

the euro r is obd2 and has 17 more hp

last- take everything they give you you never know when you will need it. call them and make sure they send you the bottom half of the exaust manifold this you will deffinatly need. any body correct me if im wrong

but there is a swap list for h22 just study it and go other places and study it too you can never doo too much reasearch on a swap.
