ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    New clutch Problem

Ok I just replaced my engine with a F22a6 and while doing that I replaced the clutch. After getting it all back together I had to pull the tranny back out due to a bad rear main seal leaking oil on the new clutch. So I replaced the rear main seal and replaced the new oil covered clutch with another new clutch.

Now I have been taking it very easy to break it in. I have about 5xx miles on it from driving back and forth to school. I dont get on it I just slowly get up to highway speeds.

Now for my problem I noticed that every now and then it seems to slip.
I can drive the car for hours with no problems perfectly fine no slipping. Then out of nowhere it starts to slip for I would say maybe 2-3 minutes then all is well again. I have checked to see if my seal is bad again but nothing.

Can someone plz help me with this i have no clue anymore

That's your problem, then. You HAVE to resurface the flywheel. It's just like a brake disc... you have to resurface brake rotors to use new pads, or else the pads will glaze over and be far less effective. Your clutch was unable to properly mate with the flywheel surface, and has most likely suffered some glazing on the friction surface. Your options at this point are to simply put up with it, or change the clutch AGAIN and have the flywheel resurfaced.

I don't know offhand, but it's not terribly expensive, I don't think. Call some shops tomorrow morning.

Or, if you want to do it the ghetto way, they way I often do brake rotors (because those suckers are a bitch and a half to get off!)... just take some fine grit sandpaper to the friction surface. It's not the best solution, and won't fix any imperfections due to warping... but it'll remove the glaze at least.
