ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    H22 Axle Issue

Wife purchased a CB9 with a JDM H22a Automatic. When we purchased the car we were told it had a hard shift and noticed it was leaking transmission fluid mildly. Wife climbed up under the car to check out the leak and noticed a gap between the trans and the drivers side axle.

Can anyone tell us if this was installed wrong or possibly the wrong axle?

Either could be a possibility. Looks like the axle may be too short and it pulled out slightly.Ww

My f22 automatic did that on the long axle. I think it had to do with the c clip that holds it it. I popped it back in and its ben fine ever since but I am planing on replacing it because I didn't like it and It is going to need boots.
I have driven like 500 miles after popping it back in and its ben fine

I went to the junkyard and grabbed a snap ring off an accord axle and a prelude axle. I put it on the drive axle and slid it into the transmission. Issue now is that I can not get it to snap into the trans. It goes in so far and then it wont go any further. I have tried a rubber mallet, wood block and BFH, remounting in the hub and kicking it and so on. I can not get this thing to go in!!

            Any Suggestions??

I got the axle in. Put the axle on a spare jackstand to hold it in place and somewhat straight. Hammered on the axle with a rubber mallet and BOOM she snapped in!!

              Thanks for all the advice!!
