I was looking around the site and I can really find a good answer so my question is how do I wire tuck my engine bay? I read on here that there are 3 ways like simple, mild and I can't remember the last one. So do I have to cut wires and extend them? I know you can hide the wires where the fenders are but I'm more curious on how to extend the wires. Thanks for the help.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Well you obviously didn't look that well. You do not have to cut any wires to hide the fuse box. I know you have to extend wires for the passenger light but I think that is it. As for extending, make sure you solder and use heat shrink. Electrical tape will wear off after a while causing you to have a short in the wiring.
EDIT: 92accord beat me to it haha

There isn't a set way to do it. Everyone has their own way. Basically, cut the wires, extend the wires, hide the wires. To be honest... many people who do wire tucks end up with seriously frustrating electrical problems.
The ideal way to do it would be to create a whole new harness that can be hidden.

You run the risk of changing the resistance any time you splice and/or extend a wire.
If having a wire-free engine bay worth that risk to you? If so, do it very carefully and hope for the best. Personally.... I'd never do it. Not unless I was building a trailer-queen showcar. The purpose of my car is to be driven... and electrical problems will keep that from happening. I don't care how pretty it is if I can't get it out of my driveway!

If you dont have the patience and the electrical know how to do this dont half ass it just keep it the way it is and if anything organize and zip tie what you can to make it look neater if anything. But without the proper skill and electrical know how dont just jump into it and start cutting wires and end up with a car that starts when you turn your windshield wipers on.
For me personally this will be plus to do on my car. It makes it easy to work on my engine and leaves room for more mods and I just personally love working on my car any chance I get. So its not just for looks on mine.Last edited by I-Deal214; 09-19-2011, 10:32 AM.http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=177927 <MY BUILD PROGReSS
