ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

PT6 is best for the F22A6, or an F22A1/4 running the A6 intake manifold and camshaft.
P12 is best for a stock F22A1. The P12 does not control the IAB.

and say i dont have the pt-6 how would that affect me? i thought it was for noise reduction. or maybe that was just a part of it.

Noise reduction? What do you mean?

IAB is the "secondary runner" system in the F22A6 and H22/H23 intake manifold design.

Intake Air bypass at a certain Rpm the secondary butterflies open.

something to do with when they open at a certian rpm and close at a certain rpm that reduces the noise? i could have just read wrong. but what is the point of the secondary runner system i guess is what im asking when i asked what does it do?

another question i have is if there i guess left open wouldnt that help by allowing air flow?

sry i prob just dont understand the function at all. lol

Basically at higher RPM's it throws more air into the engine when it needs it hints the intake tone that changes at 4600-4800 on these F22A6's or F22A's with a IAB intake swap.Theres lots of debates on the subject most can be found on this site.Weither to delete them, run them off vaccum etc etc.

The intake air bypass is used to maintain a certain length runner at different RPMs. It's a sort of resonance tuned adjustable length intake. Longer runners help maintain tq in the lower RPM where as the shorter runners are better for the higher RPM.

Running with them open all the time (or plates removed) just means that your running a shorter intake runner and loosing out on some low end tq. However, the but dyno usually substitutes the more aggressive sound and quicker throttle response to more tq. When there is not!
