ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Only made about 10whp tuned on 19dabeast36's bolt on set up at TDC.The way i see it is unless your doing top an bottomend work that $800 could go else where just IMO.Bisi lvl 2 cam an a used Nitrous kit an a tune would put you at about 1-1.2k which you would benefit alot more power from. But i wouldn't do either without knowing for sure everything is in tip top shape.

I will be spending maybe a total of $1500 and that includes $1006 for my JDM H23A shipped to my door.
Twin cams are just more parts to replace when something breaks. The ONLY advantage to twin cams is the ability to adjust the valve timing without replacing the cams and 99% of the people building aren't ever going to need to do that more than once, so there's no need for DOHC except to say you have it.

You just dropped a grand for a 200 hp engine (which will probably put down less than 175 by the time it gets to the ground) that will still need to be built up to be faster. For the same $1500 you mentioned, the OP can get a bigger cam, a Bisi header (which is only a substantial hp increase over a couple of thousand RPMS in the high end. Up to around 5K, it's not that much (<10), but above 5k, WHEW BABY!!), a generic catback with a decent muffler and the a6/h23 IM/TB combination and have a SOHC F putting down more power than the h23a and probably share a pizza and a six pack with it when he's done.

I've got less than $2000 in my entire car (including the car and the stereo system) and it's putting down about 165 whp (190ish at the crank) on the A1 manifold, with a stage one cam, Spyder Auto full exhaust and an SRI.
