ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

No cabin filter.. so where is the stuff?

I was helping my neighbor change the cabin filter in her 2000 Civic and looking at the amount of leaves, pine needles and other debris that had gotten down in there, I got to thinking about our cabin filter-less cb7's and wondering where such junk that makes it past the screen below the windshield might accumulate inside or cars. I figure there's bound to be a debris pile somewhere down in there, but where, and how do I get to it?

It's probably behind the dash to the right of the glove box...deep in there.

You would have to pull the entire dash, it is WAY harder then the 2000 civics(i would know i changed mine on my 2002 Accord, while it was a pita, it would have been so much harder on my 93 Accord)

That's more fun than I intend to have on this. Everything seems to be working okay, but I have noticed the vent flow is not as strong as it used to be. It's probably 80% of what it once was. That's probably the debris pile somewhere way back in the firewall restricting flow.

Thanks. That sounds like a likely spot to find the stuff. Was it very difficult getting to that blower motor? Can the stuff be gotten to and vacuumed out without completely removing the motor? I mean is there another pipe or duct that can be taken off to put a vacuum hose or other tool in there to get to the debris?

well you don't have to take to motor out to do it. you can just take of the glove box and you'll see everything you need to. but getting the motor out of the way helps because there is usually crap inside of the motor as well

Excellent! Thanks for that. I've got a Haynes manual somewhere so I'll dig int it as soon as he weather cools a little and locate all the tabs and screws to take that apart. I want that debris pile. I know its in there.

I think i remember seeing someone mod a cabin filter into a Cb. Dont quite remember the thread tho. Anyways, all that crap goes into your blower motor. I remember my friend had to change one on his Cb, looks like a pain.
