Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Search this forum. It has a wealth of knowledge on quality suspension systems that range from street to track ready performance.

If they say they don't fit I wouldn't test them. If you want to lower your car with sleeves get Ground control coilover sleeves. I have those and Koni yellows and it given me great results. I mean I have lots more mods done to the suspension but just with thoes alone I run with 08 si's on a autocross track.

If they're "universal" sleeves... they are almost guaranteed to be shit. Such a thing would be very unsafe (not to mention uncomfortable) to run on your car. Something tells me you're not planning on using new, properly matched shocks to go with these shit sleeves either... am I correct?
The ONLY coilover sleeve I would trust is Ground Control. Anything else sucks.

and to the OP. no. i remember the only set of ebay sleeves i got said "98-02". i called them about it and they said it would still fit. the ride was crap tho. the car was lower than i wanted it to be. even with the sleeves adjusted all the way to the top, it was STILL tucking tire. blew a strut and almost caused an accident.

The suspension is interchangeable only from 90-97. not 90-02. the ONLY reason that these 98-02 sleeves will fit your 91 is due to the diameter of the strut being the same. the ride quality will suck i assure you. the spring rates on any spring are (should be) matched to the weight of the car. the 98-02 weighing approximately 3000lbs, versus the 91 weighing approximately 2700lbs. 300 lbs may not be huge, but it is noticeable. so the spring rates on the 98-02 would be harder to handel the extra weight. put those springs on your 91 and it won't sit at the proper level or absorb the shock as well. bouncy ride.
word of wisdom, just because it fits, doesn't mean it's right. save your money my friend. get quality suspension designed for your specific car.
i have not known anyone with sleeves other than GC's that liked them. Even people with skunk2's have complained.

Who knows what the spring rate of universal sleeves are. I'm sure the same exact sleeves he's selling u are the exact same sleeves he's selling to some dude that came in there with a Dodge Neon, they just slap a different sticker on it. And above and beyond the safety issue, I will never understand the want or need for these sleeves. The ride quality SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Even with the very best shocks the ride is ridiculous. I don't see how u guys deal with it.

A proper suspension should not only have quality components, but properly matched components as well. The ride height and spring rate of the springs used should be taken into consideration when buying shocks. You can't just slap any old shock on there and expect it to work properly.
To be honest, any cheapie "universal" sleeve is going to use a spring rate that is EXTREMELY high. There really aren't any shocks on the market for our cars that are designed for that, without being custom-valved (this is commonly done with Bilsteins.) Such a high spring rate has no place on public roads anyway. It's not comfortable, and it's not safe. Slamming your car the cheap way doesn't look cool...
If you want to get adjustable coilovers, get Ground Controls paired with Koni Yellows. Or get some full coilovers, such as Form and Function Autolife Type 1 or Type 1, or Tein Basic (those are PERFECT if you're just driving on the street, and not putting the car on a track.)
Personally, I don't think anyone that doesn't know what they're doing in terms of suspension adjustments should be able to adjust their ride height... that's why I run H&R springs on my car. Can't adjust em... so my ignorance and lack of experience won't be a problem!

aaww man. justed grabbed them after work a few hours ago before i read this forum. he said he talked to the manufacture and said they would fit. he told the first time i came in they would be bouncy, i thought all kits were bouncy.he mentioned 60/40 to 70/30 stiff/bouncy spring rate depending on struts. i see you guys mentioning all these brands you guys dont like. mine are Megan Racing. i wasnt planning on replacing the struts. i was just holding off on the install until i change the axles and bearings.
from now on i'll ask these questions here days before buying mods

Megan Racing coilover sleeves aren't the worst... but they're not great. Megan is just one of the better cheap-crap companies out there. The only thing I'd really trust on my car from them is a strut bar (and I do have one of theirs on my car... until I shell out the dough for a vastly superior ESP bar.)
Did you even bother to check the Megan Racing website to see if there were separate kits? Megan Racing part number MR-CO-HA9097 is for 90-97 Accords. MR-CO-HA9802 is the part number for 98-02... which is what you have. (although, upon further research, the specs on the Megan Racing site DO seem to be the same for both... so they very well may be identical... but still, if the manufacturer says different part numbers, I say different parts.)
Also, whatever numbers he gave you regarding spring rates was total bullshit. Those sound like made up numbers to me. Read the "sticky" thread at the top of the Suspension section (written by mndude07) for some useful information on spring rates, as well as different parts that are available that are actually made for your car!
I really hope you didn't pay more than $120 for those things... because that's what they sell for on ebay.
And REPLACE YOUR STRUTS! Stock struts are not designed to be lowered, or for use with stiff springs (which these are pretty stiff.) Aside from the fact that they're 20 years old, and probably already blown. Put those coils on your current struts, and your car will be extremely dangerous to drive. Unpredictable handling, unpredictable braking... any maneuver you'd make in a panic would very likely be unsuccessful.
Do it right, or don't do it at all. Suspension is one thing you do NOT want to mess around with. Your life is riding on that... as are the lives of anyone else in your car, or anyone that happens to be in your path.
