ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

H23 non vtec camshaft on f22a1

I just wanted to know if a h23 non vtec camshaft would be compatible with an f22a1. If so would there be any decent improvement over the stock f22a1 camshaft or would I just be better off buying a "name brand"?

I seen them for sale on ebay and I just need to know if it would worth it to buy them. Note that I'm also planning on doing the f22a1 to H23 intake manifold swap in the future.

h23 is a dohc engine and the f22 is a sohc, so even if it did fit it would only run half the valves

      Not a chance

That is a dual overhead cam engine

Your 1 cam has twice as many lobes as a cam from one of those engines to operate both intake and exhaust valves where as in a dohc engine the cams have less lobes because each cam only operates either intake or exhaust valves

That's what this section is for!

It's one thing to ask a question because you're too lazy to bother looking for the answer yourself (like "wut engin can i put in muh car?") but it's another thing to really not know something... in that case, it's only right to ask. To someone with experience, it's obvious, but to someone new, the answer may not be easy to find. I can tell you now, you wouldn't have found the answer to this question by searching (now, the next guy will!) It's DEFINITELY a beginner question... but that's why there's a Beginner forum!
