Im trying to make a swap from my F22a6 to a h23 engine. Is it worth the trouble or should I just take the F22A out and clean it up, replace gaskets and so on? Im not looking for performance, just a nice ride.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

i think ive seen alot of posts about this, google, cb7 h22 swap, or something of that nature,
but its up too you, the f22 is known to have up 700hp, and more, thats alot for our light accords,
or go for the h22 there popular and alot of people do it
im sticking with my f22a4, its a really good engine i think, but im going to get rid of it here soon for a mr2 anyways

Frankenstein it!!!! H23 bottom end with and H22 head FTW!!! This would be my opinion if ever wanted to do a swap. I'm sticking with the F22 all the way. I know it takes more money to get it to produce the number that swapping in a H22, but it's a matter of preference for me.

Its like deev stated, no one on here can tell you what to do with your car. You have to decide how the car will be used and what your plan is. If you will be driving it daily, the f22 is hard to beat. You have to do your research on this read, and and think. I drive my car daily for a year and a half approximately. I am torn myself. At times I want a H motor. But the f22 has been so dependable, I start thinking I should stay with it. I do plan one day when I have another dd, I will swap to a H22 or H23.
Don't get me wrong. When done correctly, the h swap can be a reliable daily driver. So first, think about how your car will be used and what kind of budget do you plan to have to spend. Best of luck.Last edited by alan lx; 08-07-2011, 10:37 PM.
