ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Its not really worth it at all. Most jdm import companies don't even import our old accords or any parts related to them. Even if you did manage to get ahold of the parts its still alot of work. You are talking about rewelding in a new firewall which is a major ammount of work.

In the end after the RHD swap you really don't gain anything anyways. You simple spent alot of time and money to relocate something. You could much better spend your money else where and get alot more heads turning.

You could actualy buy a front clip. Its just the front end of the car and either weld your rear half with the front end of the jdm or euro end wich I don't recomend people. The other is just cut out your fire wall put the jdm or euro and replace things like steering rack fuse box and hopefully they don't hack up the engine harness.

If you have to ask how to do it, and where to get the parts to do it.. you do not have anywhere near the abilities necessary to make it happen.

since our Accords are in the 20 year old range, would it be possible to buy a complete RHD Accord from Australia or New Zealand and bring it over here. I personally have seen a Holden Monaro and a XB Falcon on the streets of NYC and the Falcon had NY plates. That would be even easier (physically)than welding and cutting

It's 25 years to be able to bring a car in with no issues. However, since there is a US equivalent, you could bring in a RHD Accord easily enough.

HOWEVER, after all is said and done, it'd probably come out to be $10,000... unless you know someone.

It would be indeed nice to get a right hand drive cb. I think that's
Most of us in here would like. If I had the money I would they to have one shipped.
But like how deevergote said it's going to be costly.

Fortunately, you live VERY close to one of the largest seaports on the East Coast. Find someone in the UK that has a car you want, arrange shipping, make friends with someone in customs, and another someone on the docks... and you could make it happen

RHD would be REALLY cool... but honestly, it would kinda suck driving it full time on LHD roads. Imagine being in a RHD car, stuck behind some grandpa in a Chevy Suburban... The truck is as big as a house, and he's going 10mph under the limit. You want to pass him, but the road only has one lane in each direction. You see the broken yellow line in the center, meaning you can pass... but you can't see what's coming in the opposite direction, because you're sitting on the wrong side of the car! By the time you can see, your car is already halfway in the oncoming lane.
Also, if you want to go through the drive through at Mickey D's or your local bank... bring a buddy.

I'd love a RHD car myself, but not as my primary car, that's for sure! (when I get something RHD, it'll most likely have a GT-R badge on it )
