ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Or you could possible have a busted hoes some where. Happened to me so I lost fluid and pressure. Just something to check.

The power steering pump could be bad, in which case you can get one for like $35 at the JY. I'm not sure how to safely test it though because it puts out up to 300 psi pressure and without the right equipment to pressure test it you won't know....a shop may be able to test it and recommend a replacement if necessary.

Either that or your power steering rack is bad. That could also be either a repair or a replace scenario.

Start with figuring out whether the pump is putting out pressure into the working line (the hard line that bolts into the top of the pump.

Wear eye protection when messing with it if you are attempting to determine if it's good by yourself--i don't think it puts out high pressure all at once (probably builds it over time) but better safe than sorry.

In your scenario if you are a do it yourselfer I would consider just replacing the p.s. pump and seeing if that fixes it. If it doesn't , you know it's the rack.

And the cost of replacing the p.s. pump by yourself is like $40 (JY part) vs $60 just to have a mechanic look at the thing and tell you what's up.

there is also a filter at the intake line in the power steering reservoir (or so I hear). If that's clogged then the pump won't be able to pull fluid.

just make sure you use Honda Genuine power steering fluid.... the ps pump doesn't like other/generic stuff.
