ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Interesting air conditioning information

I just found out today that the 1992-1994 acura vigor uses the same a/c compressor as the 1990-1993 accord ( with denso compressor )

This might not seem very important but...

The vigor was made in 1994 which means it was using r134a refrigerant which means the compressor was designed for r134a ( provided you pull one from the 94 model )

just food for thought if you're doing a/c work.

nice but i think the only thing that changed on the r12-134 was the fittings for the recharge...

      ehhhh....
with a r134a retrofit, ester oil is needed to mix with the mineral oil, if you use mix pag with mineral, the pag will become acidic, damaging your seals, and system

with this compresor, you can avoid all this bullshit or buy a new one

but what if that junked vigor has a new compressor? you never know
      again thanks tippey

Also, most R-134A setups had a better condensor to make up for the relative lack of efficiency compared to R-12. This kept the performance similar. Wonder if the Vigor condensor would fit in an Accord...

          the CD will

and like the prelude one, they look single core
and the accord to me it looks dual core

strange enough the part number for the 93 and 94 vigors were the same

            1993 accord : 38810-PT0-013
            1993 vigor : 38810-PT0-013
            1994 vigor : 38810-PT0-013

This is for the base compressor only not the pullys and other stuff.

edit: i misread and thought you said compressor.

after reviewing both condensors i would say no it will not work. The line locations are way different between the 2 units.

you can also use one from a 98 accord

just use the CB top part, and the pulley will be a 6 rib pulley, perfect for f20b pulleys

              also r134a compatible

Well this is even more strange

according to the 1994 acura vigor owners manual the a/c system uses r12 still. I thought r12 had stopped in 1993 with all new 1994 vehicles using r134a

                  hmmm
