ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    H23 Intake swap HELP!!

I just finished my H23 intake swap onto my 92 accord lx with an aftermarket TB. When i accelerate i my car seems to bogg down until i reach a certain RPM then it accelerates well. I have no codes at the moment, but before i adjusted the TPS and idle i had code 42 and 43 and 12 and 1 (not all at once, just when it came on i jumped it in the parking lot or at home). sometimes randomly i would have a jumpy idle at a stop light. My question is, do i need bigger fuel injectors or do i have a problem with the EGR valve, TB or do i need to adjust my idle and tune my ecu?. Also, i have the Pt6 ecu, but im not sure if its for a standard or auto so i put the pt3 back in for the time being.

Replace your o2 sensor with a Denso or NGK/NTK unit. That code 43 occurs only at certain times, but it indicates a bad o2 sensor.. Acceleration will bog if the o2 sensor is bad. rockauto.com has Denso sensors for a good price.

i think its my clutch actually. When i disengage it, my acceleration is fine. What are some good clutch tests? I noticed i can come to a stop sign in second, which DEFINATLY isnt normal. I just replaced it about six months ago, but i am not sure what HP rating or stage of clutch it was, possibly stage one or two. could i be exceeding the HP already?

Very unlikely OEM type replacements are usually good up to 200ish just depends really unless its a junk ebay kit which are a hit an miss.Sounds like you should address the cel's first also did you adjust the TPS to the honda's specs both WOT & closed throttle?

Yeah its a piece of S**T ebay kit.. i put it in when i didnt really know much, i have done alot of rebuilding since then. I have an action clutch coming in the mail. Yes, i adjusted the tps but only with the throttle closed, i didnt think it mattered how open it was??.. after adjusting that i havent had any codes in about a week, which is considerably long since it was going off everytime i drove. Should the action clutch be okay for now, if i break it in properly? will my piece of SH*T ebay clutch last till sat if i go easy??

Yea you'll need to adjust for WOT aswell .5v closed 4.5v wid open if its not adjusted right it can cause a few issues (Idle surging,Hesitation under acceleration, surging of power while driving, engine stalling, poor fuel gas milage) an 02 can cause this.As far as the clutch i cant tell you weither it'll last or not if its not sliping then id say it will, but i do not think your issue lies in the clutch thats just my opinion.

Alright, thanks. I didnt know the WOT voltage, i just briefly looked in the haynes manual.. i will go see what i can do. I am actually getting all those symptoms. either way i am going to switch out the clutch. i read BAD reviews on the F1 clutches... they seem like they are good for quick burns at the strip...(if that)

When my car is accelerating it starts to feel as if it were slipping or even grabbing. when i press the clutch pedal my rpms smoothly rise... is that not a clutch problem... I DO have "Hesitation under acceleration, surging of power while driving, poor fuel gas milage" the idle surging and engine stalling stopped after i adjusted tps, i will adjust it at WOT and see what happens..

Hey good news, its runnin BETTER, i still feel the clutch slippin, but it will last. I think it wa a compound of things, the adjustment at WOT.. i also replaced the O2 sensor... which made it accelerate alot better! I can smell the burned up clutch when i drive tho...so i am going to be replacing that this weekend, as well as installing 2.25" lowering springs and stripping all the dead weight outta the car. ill let you guys know how it goes

Yeah.. its a six puck ceramic disk... i am gonna keep it under 3k rpm/ half throttle.. what are some good suggestions for gaining my lost low end due to the h23 intake swap, the only thing i can think of right off the bat is: ecu tuning, engine rebuild, 10.5-1 compression ratio, and turbo charge with smaller turbine? with the engine rebuild i will have replaced the camshaft and crankshaft for f22A6 one... but any better suggestions for the shafts woud be great! (other than bisi...not in bugget range quite yet) always open to suggestions!!

That sir is a different type of thread all in its on.With most aftermarket N/A cams you sacrifice something most of the time a little low end.As for boosting you really don't need a cam upgrade people are making lots of power on stock cams more than enough for street use anyway. As far as cams i've used in the import scene are deltas 272 on a f22a6 an f22b1 an a bisi stage1 d16a6cam for a d15b7 both are good, but with deltas you will sacrifice a little more low end an getting smooth idling takes a bit of work, but the 272s make great mid-top power best bang for the buck IMO(I will note bisi has better customer service!).They are plenty of companies out there though so do your research an see which one fits your needs/power goals. If you wanna get in to this more in depth start a new thread though so people searching for the same info can locate it easier bud.Or research an go from there.
