ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Swap K20Z3

    Speak guys!
So I was thinking of doing a swap in CB7, was thinking of taking the F22A6 and put a K20 M / T!
K20 is the Civic Si's in Brazil, he has 197cv ... is K20Z3
    What do you think?
Is it very difficult this adaptation?
    How would the car's performance?
    Thank you!

    Fala galera !
    Obrigado !

You could put that engine in your car, but it would not be easy to make it work. Wiring, mounts, axles, fuel lines, transmission controls, exhaust... all those things would have to be custom. The H22 engine would give you similar power, and it is a much easier engine to install.

          I understand man!
However here in Brazil only exists in H22 prelude, which is very difficult to find, to the F22 engine is hard to find!
          I've seen a K20 in a CB7! It has a video on youtube!
The car would be pretty smart?

If you can do the custom work, the K20 will fit. However, I think it would be less work (and less cost) to find an H22, even if you had to have it shipped. The one in the Prelude will work (I have one in my car.)

The more common K swap is the K24. There are mounts available for that (www.hasport.com)

For the hassle it will take to make a k series work you are probably better off just taking your time and sourcing out a h22. It will save you alot of headaches time and money. Hell if it comes down to it get on ebay.com . H22 longblocks are always on there. F22 as well and the f22 is cheaper. Or do yall not have ebay in brazil? i never been so i wouldnt know.

To get a K20Zx into the CB would probably cost not much less than the Civic Si it comes in.

Best bet might be to get a crashed one locally and start from there.

So the price of the Civic Si here in Brazil is R $ 100k, hahaha would not buy one for me!
I can import things instead of ebay, however I think it would be very expensive no?
Is there a thread here showing the f22 to h22 swap?
What is the transmission that the H22 use?

You can use your Accord transmission if money is an issue. Any F series transmission will bolt to any H series engine. The Accord's gearing isn't the best for the H22, but it isn't terrible.

Importing an H22 would most likely be expensive, but I'm pretty sure it would be much cheaper than all the custom work you would need to do in order to run the K20Z3 in your car (not to mention, you would need the K20's transmission... and wiring the ECU would be a lot of work!)

If you look in the Swaps section of this site, you'll find a lot of info regarding the H22 swap. It's quite simple to do.

i would definitely go with the h22 swap. much easier, similar power, somewhat cheaper aftermarket parts. plus, as stated above, you would have to get the full k series swap engine/tranny/harness doesnt sound like much but thats alot of work.
