ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    ABS dash light trick...

I know i might confuse some ppl and might not interrest them, but still something i've noticed that change without any hard labor.

I know ppl would say just get the cluster out and remove the light where the ABS is but thats not the point. I wanna know if anyone else have noticed any change or found the same tricky way to keep it "off".

So i finished working at 1:30am... yeah i did late night work. I had to give a ride home to a partner. <-- not really important but still in the story. I do have the DRL and i've set the yellow bulb in it so i can have a good clean look when i paint my high beam yellow, Also got the fogs with yellow HID.

I started the car, put the fogs on... DRL went on when the e-brake been removed... but since it was at night i decided to run only with parking light so ppl can still see me going. After 15 to 30sec from rolling you should get normaly the ABS light up in the dash... this time the ABS stayed off... I... WTF!?!?!? confused as i was expecting it to light up... and realised what i've done. Later on, at my partner's place i went in grab a beer and talk... had to leave so i wanted to make sure that wasn't my mind playin me. So i did it again, put the parking light on and run with the DRL for about a minute. After all i putted the headlight on to be secure(passing by a police station :P )... and seen that the ABS was still off and wasnt plaining on lighting on.

So i'm wondering if any other seen this before, or know why it does that?

I'll get a vid of it later on.

your ABS light should only come on if there is a problem with your ABS(it is not normal for it to turn on)

with that being the case i don't see anything wrong with the the light being off, unless the bulb burnt out for being on so long

no, there's a problem with it and i know it... im careless as ive never had it in good condition on either my 2 cb. Thing is, when i light up only the parking light, and start driving using only drl+ parking light, the abs light in dash stay off... but it should come on as there's malfunction with it.

wtf. if the light isnt on then there isnt a problem. The ABS system is rather senstive anyway.

                  It's not a signature.

Has the ABS light come on at all since this started happening?

I deleted the post with the random picture of that idiot's car.

So, what you're saying is that you are driving around with the parking brake up 1 click to turn off the DRL as you are driving?

Does the brake light on the dash light up when the parking brake is on? The normal behaviour for the DRL light on the dash is for it to be lit when you start the car with the parking brake on, indicating that the daytime running lights are not on. When you disengage the parking brake, that light goes out and the daytime running lights turn on.

Also, why are you driving around at night with your headlights off?
